That is how long I was in Yoga class last night. No one told me that the class was 2 hours long!! Ekk. I tried not to look at the clock, but with every pose I was becoming light-headed. The class was fantastic and amazing all rolled up in wonderful. I was sweating like a pig and probably smelt like one too. I couldn’t wait to get home and take a shower. My body is just a bit sore but nothing I couldn’t handle. I was pretty impressed with the overall sensation of my body and the feeling of success after the class was over, that I’ve signed up for class next monday night! Crazy i kno..but I’m so excited to kick my butt again. The water really helped too!
H2o
2 AugDrinking plenty of water today because I’m going to Hott Yoga tonight. I’m in lust with Yoga and practice it at least twice a week. I’m not and advance “Yogi” but can bend into a pretzel like the rest of them. Tonight is my first time going to Hott yoga so I’m a little scared but mostly excited. All I can think about is what to wear??

Vegan day 3
3 MarWhy am I not hungry?
I got home from school last night around 9pm and went straight into the kitchen to prepare some yummy lentils with veggies! The smell was delish…I cut up some mushrooms, celery, tomatoes added 3 bay leaves and watched it simmer! The smell was incredible and I was anticipating my first creation.
20mins later and I wasnt hungry at all. I had half of a banana and some water, checked Facebook with my roomie and went to bed. I have to say…I wasnt hungry yesterday after school and this morning. I’m drinking some green tea, and just enjoyed some toast with organic strawberry jam.
This is such a strange feeling. I guess I’m use to eating all the time and especially after class…but whatever. I’m feeling great and even hit the gym this morning with my bestie! Gotta love staying focused!

Vegan for 31 days. Day 1 and 2.
2 MarDay one was fun, although I think I overdosed on veggies for lunch. My co-worker brought in a beautiful veggie stew that was colorful and full of spice, I loved every spoonful and grew full fast. I was a bit light headed on Day 1 and had a mild headache by the end of the day. Found these wonderful vegan cookies that are to die for, Uncle Eddies Vegan Cookies and ate 3 of them. Class was cancelled so I got my yoga on and ate a banana and drank some green tea before passing out.
Day 2. Soy Yogurt taste bad. I’m not a fan, and my breakfast of strawberry soy yogurt with a banana isn’t making the cut. I’m going to down my green tea and break into my sunflower seeds. For lunch I have some vegan taquitos (Jimbos), and some yummy tofu ranchero. I’m feeling motivated and even work up at 6am to get my cardio on! Drinking plenty of water and feeling like being a vegan isn’t all that bad.

Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better
2 MarDo you ever get pulled out of your office or cube to be forced to participate in some corporate get together? I get annoyed when I’m listening to someone that starts off with the phrase “I was nothing then, but I’m something now”. I instantly begin to roll my eyes and nod off. apparently this “Motivational Speaker” wants to help us poor pathetic working drones and turn us into somebodys! Fact is…I’m somebody, and I was something then and will be something even more fabulous later. I’m not concerned with your mini pep talk about change, motivation or goal setting. I’m more concerned about how you get paid 3 times my annual salary, google some motivational, leadership babble plop some pictures on a Powerpoint and prance around on stage in your christian louboutins? Answer that sweetie. I’m the future and that job that is dangling in front of me is mine for the taking!

My company Hands out Big-brothers with every paycheck
15 Jul
I’m the eldest child of 3 girls; my household consisted of crying, PMS, fighting over clothes, conversations about boys, and make-up. Never had a brother and never wanted one. A handful of my friends had brothers and from my interactions with them, I came to the conclusions that they were bossy, smelly and always in our business. So when I decided to do the corporate thing, not only did I get a paycheck every two weeks, I also got a Big-Brother. Now I’m not really certain on how many brothers I have (my company has expanded over the years I’ve worked here) but all I do know is that they are here, watching my every move and always picking on me. I try to run and hide but just like older brothers they are bigger and perceive to be smarter and find me every time.
5 Signs that your next paycheck might come with a Big-brother:
- Elevator pitch seminars that have been placed onto your outlook calendar
- Step by Step “How to create a signature for your outgoing emails” PowerPoint’s sent to your inbox
- Voice mails describing your companies mission statement repeated over and over again in a slow trance like monotone voice
- Friend requests, follow me on twitter or check out my blog from people in your company that you’ve never spoken to in real life
- Your organization hosts all company meetings, where they proceed to talk about employees abusing their internet privileges and hand out charts that pin point the main candidates.
Big Brothers are always there watching your every move, thinking that the best way to be a brother is to protect you and shelter you from the real world. Not allowing you to express your creativity, breath, and figure things out for yourself. A word to the Big brothers amongst us, leave me alone or I’ll tell the Man on you.
